Save the DGH Campaign

1.jpg

The Save the DGH Campaign was started in March 2006 when it appeared the local Health Authority was going to downgrade Eastbourne DGH,and take away ‘core services’,  in particular A & E, Paediatrics and Maternity.

After many months of campaigning and despite increasing medical evidence which supports the Campaign’s view, the decision to downgrade Eastbourne DGH Maternity was made on 20th December 2007 by the local Primary Care Trust.

We are fighting this decision and are absolutely convinced that the people of Eastbourne and East Sussex will support us as we continue our fight to save babies lives and also to retain essential emergency services!

Save The DGH Events:

Saturday 31st May

Dinner and Dance at The Winter Gardens in Eastbourne. There will be a fantastic auction during the evening hosted by Lewes's Bishop Wallace Benn. Tickets are £25 each, £250 for a table of 10. A ladies Acapella band will be performing along with a dazzling fashion show. After the delicious two course meal, there will be live music from a local band!  Half the ticket money is to be donated to the Save the DGH Campaign and the other half is paying for the food.  Any fundraising during the evening will be donated to the Campaign.

Monday 12th-16th May

Blue Bell Barn Nursery in Stone Cross and Blue Hill Nursery are holding their Fundraising weeks for the Save The DGH Campaign

Saturday 17th May

A sponsored nappy walk takes off from Holywell. Brace yourself for the sights of dozens of grown men dressed as giant babies marching their way along Eastbourne's Seafront! The walk starts at Holywell.
