Oli Townsend

Oli presents Sunday Rocks on 107.5 Sovereign Radio every Sunday evening at 7pm.

Forget the Sunday night blues... Sunday Rocks on 107.5 Sovereign Radio every Sunday from 7pm. Oli presents three hours of classic and new rock, local music from East Sussex, interviews and live sessions.

You can also hear Oli pitching up at various times, covering shows like East Sussex Today and Drivetime. When not in the studio, Oli travels the county as our out-and-about reporter, which has seen him broadcast from places such as Airbourne, the Eastbourne Half Marathon and even a boat out at sea, half a mile from the East Sussex coast!

Oli grew up near Brighton but moved inland to Mid-Kent in 1997. Ten years later, the pull of the sea brought Oli back to the south coast when he joined 107.5 Sovereign Radio and our sister station 107.8 Arrow FM at the beginning of 2007.

Previously Oli had volunteered at Hospital Radio Maidstone and BBC Radio Kent while completing a degree in Media and Cultural Studies at Canterbury Christ Church University between 2002 and 2005. He jumped on the FM bandwidth in 2006, hosting The Big Night Out for 87.9 Uckfield FM.

Oli loves live music and can often be found at local venues checking out bands for Sunday Rocks. Take a look at Oli's monthly music editorial in Pulse Magazine and if you're a local musician or in a band and want the chance to have your music played on 107.5 Sovereign Radio, email us, or send a CD to:

Ryan sets up, just time for a swift lemonade

After spending the day on the 'Battle Bus' collecting donations from local companies and organisations the Save The DGH campaigners ended up at The Rodmill Pub in Eastbourne to collect more cash for the 'fighting fund'. Ryan was there too to present his show (well, is at a pub after all!!)
